The annual Emerald Winterfest pet parade has become a local institution for children and adults alike to show off their talented pets.

With 13 categories being staged in 2007 there is an event for every pet, regardless of what type, how big or small, how intelligent or talented.

The parade in previous years has included ferrets, rats, parrots, mice, horses, ponies, sheep and pigs, not to mention the special and talented cats and dogs.

The event is held on Emerald Primary School's oval in Heroes Avenue and kicks off at 12 noon sharp.
